Is it possible to configure MintMenu to open if it is not on a panel?
Is it possible to configure MintMenu to open in the center of the screen?
I have a small screen netbook and would like to operate without any panels. I find that MintMenu won't open with a keystroke unless it is attached to a panel. Also, if it is on a panel, it opens half off the screen if i hide the panel in a corner or if the panel is too small (not expanded). The regular gnome menu works fine -- but i kinda like the Mintmenu.

I do not know how to accomplish what you are asking. For now you could use, Alt + F1 to bring up the gnome menu without having any panels. Sorry I do not have a better solution....

bump
Is there perhaps a way to integrate the mintmenu with a docking application or widget or something?

Alt+F1 opens a small menu where your cursor is. Perfect!joec wrote:Is it possible to configure MintMenu to open if it is not on a panel?
