Make a liveCD/DVD out of your installed LinuxMint (Ubuntu/Debian) system

More info from Ubuntu

Hi Fragadelic,

Here's some info I found on the Ubuntu wiki:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveC ... romScratch

I don't know if you read that before but it could help you understand the liveCD generation better and maybe give you missing pieces in the puzzle for remastersys.

I'm hoping to tweak reconstructor so I can generate my initrd/casper directly from my chroot env... maybe this is going to help.

Anyway, it's an interesting read.

Enjoy,
Clem

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Thats a simplified version of what remastersys does. Remastersys does a bit more than that though.

I have been trying to get more info about casper and ubiquity but to no avail so I have to just look through all the code and figure it out myself.

After some more consideration, I think this is the way to go so that an original livecd is not needed.

Thanks for the link Clem.
