Can't use Remastersys with custom Ubuntu remaster

Postby BlahBlah_X on Fri Oct 19, 2007 5:29 pm

I am trying to use remastersys to remaster a Gutsy install. I installed the Gutsy Minimal Install CD, and then mintified it and made it usable.

But now when remastersys asks me to put in the original cd, I do. Then, I get the error message: Please mount the Original LiveCd that you used to install this system and rerun remastersys.

But I did mount the original cd. Maybe I added so much stuff that it doesn't think I even started from the minimal install cd.

Should I use the original gutsy cd as the "base cd"?

Yes you will need the original gutsy cd.

The current version of remastersys that I'm working on will no longer need the original cd.

I'm hoping to have this version ready very soon so if you can wait it would be good.
