Installation of customer iso

Hi all. I have made a copy of my Gutsy install using backup (I want to clone for a new laptop hard drive in the same unit). I found tons of info on how to do it and was pretty easy. What I haven't found is how to install it on the new drive. Do I just boot from the custom.iso I burned? Or is there some prep for the new drive I need to perform? Thanks in advance!!

You can boot the livecd and then just use the livecd installer and it will prompt you for partitioning just like the original Ubuntu livecd.

The purpose of remastersys is to create a livecd from your installed system. It isn't very different from the procedure that Ubuntu would use to create the initial livecd.
