A Linux Vs Windows Problem

Postby Wire72 on Tue Nov 03, 2009 10:46 pm

Hi all!!
I have just started to use Linux and have Mint 7 now installed on my computer..
And i am not so good in computer either..
I am not so good in some words when it comes to english :D
I am a member of Swedish Tradera Auctions on the internet where i sell things and buy,,
but to sell things i got to install a program that tradera ave called Prolister 1,2
But of course its made for Windows and the program demands a NET Framework 2.0 (x86) installed that is installed in service pack 1 or 2..
Is it possible to install this Prolister in some way and if its possible so please describe how so a newbie can understand..
Regards from Sweden

Linux Mono is a net framework project
http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page

Probably will be easier for you to us a VM (Virtualbox, Sun version), install your Windows OS as the guest OS under the Linux host, and the that application..

Linux mint 7 (gbloria) main edition
In terminal, check
    apt search virtualbox
    p virtualbox-2.2 - Sun VirtualBox
