Frankenputer and Linuxmint

Okay, I like to distro hop and a friend really likes Linux Mint so I figured I'd check it out.
My system is, as I said, a Frankenputer that I put together from Tiger Direct. A Phenom II Quad Core 3.0 64bit,
ati radeon onboard 3300, 500G hd, 4G DDR3.

Is there anything I should look for/know when installing?

P.S. I forgot to add; I've successfully had Ubuntu Karmic Koala using both Gnome and KDE 4 desktops on it, as well as Windows7 (I was a
beta tester and was just curious to see if it ran like it was supposed to).

You're not a Linux/Ubuntu n00b . . . should be an easy install.
Everything should work ... "outta the box", as they say.

Are you downloading the ISO files from the LinuxMint website or already have a LiveCD ?
You can choose which desktop you want: Gnome, KDE, Xfce or Fluxbox

You shouldn't have any problems but try the Live CD before you install to be certain.

To vrkalak: I'm downloading them but since I have 17M cablenet, it's almost done.

To exploder: yeah, I'll test the LiveCD first. My friend really likes Linux Mint and she's in school/studing to be a Unix admin, so
I figured I'd at least check it out. And thankee kindly for the welcome.

i'd suggest you try the 64bit versoin.. u'll love it..
I just bought a laptop which came with windows 7.. first thing i did was reformat and install mint 64 and never looked back
