Nvidia graphics issue

Postby kaktus on Sat May 12, 2012 11:43 pm

I have an acer revo 3600 which uses an nvidia ion. The graphics is a geforce 9400.
I used 'Additional Drivers' to locate and install the nvidia graphics driver, currently Nvidia accelerated graphics driver (version current) (recommended). I've also tried the alternative nvidia drivers mentioned - version 173 and the version 173 updates and version current updates. Still, my video doesn't play smoothly. The revo, with hardware acceleration enabled, should be fine with full high def video. At the moment, even much lower resolution video is not playing well- flash files are particularly bad. The best attempt is with VLC, but even this (which used to work flawlessly within windows 7 on the acer revo), can't playback smoothly.

I've searched for help- removed the nouveau driver. Any help would be appreciated
