[SOLVED]Where's Felicia, Where's Cassandra, Where's MintX?

Postby CtrlAltDel on Sun May 27, 2012 11:17 pm

I dumped Mint 11 and upgraded to Mint 13 Mate.

Now, I am trying to customize Mate and am having a hard time finding the old, but gold, themes that were in Mint 11 Gnome. I think they were called Felicia, Cassandra, Peppermint, etc... You know, they were the stock themes when you installed Mint 11 and I had really grown attached to their simplicity.

Does anyone know where I may find these? I'd really appreciate it. I have Googled it 'till I am blue in the face with terms like Cassandra + Mint + Themes, etc... and can't find anything and they don't seem to be in the repositories for Mint 13, unless I just don't know what I am looking for. And, that is certainly more than possible.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

This is a somewhat old thread now, but if you're still looking:

I did this on a MATE install ...

For Cassandra, Felicia, Peppermint etc.
http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/main/m/mint-artwork-gnome/

I downloaded this file:
packages.linuxmint.com/pool/main/m/mint-artwork-gnome/mint-artwork-gnome_2.6.12.tar.gz
Opened it with Archive Manager ... /usr/share/themes ... and for Felicia ... /usr/share/icons
and just dragged the relevant folders into /home/username/.themes and /home/username/.icons respectively.
They all seem to work ok.

From another thread, squeezy provided these links:
For Mint-X and Mint-X-Metal:
http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/main/m/mint-x-theme/
http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/main/m/mint-x-icons/

Edit: This, of course, won't work for cinnamon.

Hope it helps
