How to uninstall programs solved

Have just finished installing Linux Mint 4.0 and can't wait to start using the operating system. But could someone tell me how i go about uninstalling any program(s) i decide i nolonger need or want on my computer please. Thanks

If they are installed the "normal" way you do the opposite to installing
Anything using a .deb package is installed the normal way, so that's pretty much everything, even when you use mintInstall.
Open Synaptic (Package manager) and search for the program (the search is pretty "tolerant")
You may get more than one result - don't be intimidated by that - find the one that is "your main" package > right click > Select for removal > click Apply
and you're done
