Here is my situation, I recently switched to Linux Mint on my laptop and love it so much I am ready to switch my desktop over as well. These are my system specs:
HP Pavilion a708n
Intel Celeron D 330 (2.66GHz)
504MB Ram
80GB Hard Drive
Intel Extreme 64MB graphics (Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics)
The live CD for Mint boots fine and with my Linksys USB wireless g adapter (WUSB54GV4) I can detect my wireless network. However I can not connect no matter how many attempts I make. I've googled around and the problem I turned up was Ubuntu and Mint not even recognizing the wireless USB adapter, however since it picks up my device I suspect my problem lies elsewhere. Is it a possibility that it is not functioning properly because I am using the Live CD?
One final note, the adapter works and connects to the internet on the same PC running Windows.
Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
