(solved) graphics card compatability

Hi all

I am currently thinking of changing to mint 13, but would like to know if I can find out if my graphics card (nvidia GTS450) is supported, before I overwrite my current working lmde installation. (I have tried 2 of the 12.04 derivatives previously and could not get my card to work with either)

Mint 13 is Ubuntu 12.04 - based, so I think if 12.04 crashes, Mint 13 will probably do.

Your GTS 450 will work fine in LinuxMint 13. To install the nvidia driver, go to System Settings and click on Hardware, Additional Drivers.
