I tried that just to see how it works..but It seems I didnt have gedit installed..
So I used.. sudo apt-get install gedit ..then tried again and it works great..
now I know how to edit conf files with out loging in as root
There should be a sticky thread here that shows different Terminal commands
because that is the biggest problem for us newbies learning to use Linux..
