Uninstalling Games

Postby pjhartt on Mon Mar 31, 2008 5:28 pm

I have installed a couple of games from the portal and now want to uninstall them. From the main menu I have selected Uninstall on the particular item. I was not convinced that it had done the job and I searched for the files. I found that they were still on the disc and when I tried to delete them, it proved impossible.

How do I uninstall and make sure that I remove all traces have been removed.

The games I have installed were Open Arena and Nexuiz.

Regards
Peter

With a regular uninstall you'll keep the configuration files etc when uninstalling. Use Synaptic and complete removal for removing all files. As for deleting the files in question, I guess you'll need root access to do that, though I would not recommend mucking about outside /home/user folder...
