Remaster Cinnamon Desktop

Post by Contrarian »

Hi,

I'm attempting to remaster a live cd, and have been successful in everything except the Cinnamon Desktop.

I want to add programs to the Launcher, but I'm not sure how to chroot and boot into the Cinnamon desktop. I've attempted Xephyr from a chrooted environment, but it doesn't work.

Are there other command line options to modify the desktop or launcher?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Contrarian

Hi, I just happen to do the exact same thing, except I was using the "mate" edition. I asked a question on another forum, then answered myself after I figured it out. Essantially, install mintconstructor from the repo's. use mint constructor to do the file copying and chrooting for you. Check out my post, it may help you out. I'm sure the same process will work with the cinnamon desktop. http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=110763
