font shape

my fonts are elongated (circles are slightly eggish upwards. seems to be no 'menu' help on this. can resize but not reshape. screen is right size. any help or info

If you are using an LCD monitor you should check that radio button, it can be found under "Apperence" in the menu, or by right clicking on the desktop, chose "change wallpaper" and in both cases select the font tab.
