Writing to Flash Drive [RESOLVED]

Writing to Flash Drive [RESOLVED]

I'm sorry for this question, but after installing Linux Mint, I can no longer write or delete anything on my flash drive. How do I give myself the permission to do this? Thank You.

Which version of Mint?
It matters if it's KDE or gnome
In both cases I suppose you could do it as root but that's not recommended

By flash drive do you mean a USB thumb drive? Some one correct me if I am wrong, but isn't it as simple as mounting the drive, right clicking on the icon, navigating to the "permissions" tab and selecting read and write? If I recall correctly I had to do something similar to this with one of my flash drives.

There are several ways to get what he wants done. Husse is just playing it safe by getting more information so he can tell the thread starter what the best way in his situation is so he won't have compilations later on.

I'm running Linux Mint 4.0 w/ Gnome. I did try to change the permissions to read + write, however, for the longest time, it wasn't working. I left for the weekend, had my computer left on, and now when I came back, after weeks of frustration, everything works fine, somewhat confusing.
