This time QuickCam instalation :)

Post by ziemowitt »

I would like to run my webcam and tried to follow discriptions written on http://qce-ga.sourceforge.net/ page.

All looks friendly and simple but I stopped on 2nd step (Instalation).

1st one was to type in terminal: $ tar zxvf qc-usb-X.XX.tar.gz It passed without any problems.

2nd steo is:
Compiling the source should then be a case of simply of cd-ing to the new qc-usb-X.XX directory and executing the following command:
$ make all

After a few moments the compiler will produce a loadable kernel module (LKM) named quickcam.ko for kernel 2.6.x or quickcam.o for kernel 2.4.x.
Terminal told me that there is not such a command...

Please help me

Kindly Regards

Thanks Husse, I'm gonna do it right now!

But could You refer to the terminal commands on this site http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/gspca_spca5xx ?

I've found it on another forum, it's in french but if you could only confirm the value and trustworthiness of that commands, please!

Kindly Regards
