Fresh Install?

Hey all,

I've been using Linux Mint for around 2 months, and it's been quite satisfying. What's the quickest way to reinstall Linux Mint? I feel like I've toyed around with it too much and i want to start fresh. I'm dual booting with Vista and I want to wipe the Linux partition clean and extend it from 20GB to around 40-50GB..

And also, I've been having trouble with the Appearance options.. i set it to normal and after a reboot, some of the effects don't work (e.g. hovering over the left and right corners for those neat overviews).. is there anyway to have those settings saved?

I've created a new partition for just my data, so that when elyssa releases i'll just reinstall the os.

But! My second problem still persists (even after a fresh install). Appearances doesn't seem to completely save my preferences (transparency on window title bars work, but again the hovering over the left and right corners don't). It's just a nuisance having to go into appearances every time I reboot...
