Prob's with Wine Doors leaving programs behind solved

Postby srdempster on Tue Apr 22, 2008 4:08 pm

Just trying mint out from ubuntu so far so good just got issues with winedoors crashing while installing prog's (media player and winamp). it leaves the crap behind in menu's and in wine.I wanna completely remove it (wish never installed it!) and stick with play on linux and wine itself.

Thanks Steve

And your question is?
I'm not sure if you can uninstall wine doors without uninstalling wine but they are present as separate packages in Synaptic so just uninstall

on another node, Be carefull with WINE DOORS. I was having problems, and it turns out that a virus attached itself to my WINE programs. Ohh, it took me a while until I ran a Windows virus scan. The perils of using IE on Linux.

winedoors and the crap it's installed

I fear this might be a problem, but see what happens if you uninstall winedoors from Synaptic
Read carefully what will be removed so you don't mess up

Just to add it's just left some stray entries in the menu I could go into main menu in preferences but then it'll just hide them and not delete so where can i access the menu to delete them permenently??
