Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

You will need to install the Broadcom firmware for which you will need a temporary cabled internet connection. Once you have this open a terminal and enter
Code: Select all
apt install firmware-b43-installer

If a cabled connection is out of the question, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx#b43_-_No_Internet_access and follow the instructions for b43 (12.04 Precise Pangolin)

Thanks for your quick response, installed package but still no joy:(.

Had a wire so installing it was easy.

I did reboot.

This is not where you see available networks, you need to click on the network icon in the system tray/panel.
