Hi,
I managed to install linux mint 14 on my hardrive (win7 dualboot) but cant login: Every time i enter username and passwort, the screen turns black for a few seconds, then returns to the username prompt.
Any suggestions?

check caps lock. One time I installed and didn't realize caps lock was on and my password was actually in caps. Took me a while to figure it out and when I turned caps lock on and entered password, I was in. Also you want to enter user name, not full name.
