Right now I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 on my Lenovo G550. Having swapped operating systems on other laptops, I was very impressed by how well all the components worked, and later learned that Lenovo worked with the Ubuntu team to get it that way.
So my question is, does Mint being Ubuntu-based give it the same level of compatibility that Ubuntu has with Lenovo laptops?

Mint is based on Ubuntu, so the compatibility should be the same.
