Wine Install - Software Manager Freezes

Postby ryntak on Mon Dec 03, 2012 9:43 pm

I'm a newbie to linux. I'm trying to install wine through software manager, and it 'freezes'. I open SM and search for 'wine'. I dbl click on the first option, and I get the linx equivalent of the 'hourglass', and nothing happens after that. It just stays that way. I can close the software manager, with no problems.

Also, I can open the manager, and open/install other types of software, so it seems 'wine' specific.

I've tried installing it through the terminal, as well., using sudo apt-get install wine1.5
I get this error:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
