Tray icons

When I try to minimize Pidgin or Xchat to the tray they don't show up as tray icons as they should. Why?
Thanks I can't find it in the applets in the "Add to panel" thingy though? Help please.k3ithk wrote:Battery charge indicator is a separate item to add to the panel
