How to allocate unallocated space to a Linux partition using Windows Disk Management...?

I am not sure how exactly to do it, since the Disk Management does not interact with the Linux partition since it's file system is not known to Windows. And I think that is the problem (as far as I know).

Boot from the Linux Mint installation DVD / USB, and run GParted from there. It will allow you to resize Linux and Windows partitions.
