Just visited software portal. All apps seem to be for Gnome. What happens when one has kde. Will the same apps install then? If not then where is the portal for those? :?:

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Most software that works for KDE works with gnome unless it specifically interacts with the DE in any way.
Linux is linux, no matter what DE you use. Amarok works in gnome, exile works in KDE. Etc.

wesireal,

If memory serves, all the packages in the portal will install without issue on KDE. You will probably pull in a few dependences for the first Gnome dependent app, but that shouldn't be a problem unless you are really constrained on space in your / partition.

Check out the Elyssa section (but don't install them on Daryna), there are much more KDE native apps to be coming, trust me

Thank you all. Now all that is needed is the 64bit version and the apps.

Incidently, how do you handle Codecs in 64bit?
