Full Screen Problems

Hi guys, I've noticed that sometimes I cant watch videos FULL SCREEN from youtube or any site (e.g bbc iplayer, etc)

why is that happening? im using firefox.

forgive a newbie.. but what/where is the compiz?

i tried right clicking on the desktop- change desktop background - visual effects - none

is that it?

That is correct, sorry for my short reply, was pretty tired. Compiz is desktop effects (3D cube, animated windows etc). It causes some issues with Youtube and fullscreen, disabling it will in most cases solve it. You can also open it from mintMenu, just search for Appearance, open it, go to the desktop effects and select none.
