Mouseclicks on desktop icons

Postby acorn on Wed Apr 30, 2008 6:13 pm

In the past with Linux I used to single left click on a desktop icon to start the app.
In Mint it appears that I have to right click then select "Open" with a right click.
How do I change this to my usual operation?

My question is perhaps "stupid" but what with a double left click?

I have done this: Home > Edit > Preferences > Behavior > Single-click. Once it is set in my home folder / Nautilus, it adds the single-click to the desktop as well. Not sure if this is the best way to do it, but it worked for me. Good luck.

Thanks rivenought.
I have just changed the mouse setting from double click to single, i.e. the normal default Linux, not Windows, setting.

Thanks - I was wondering about this too. Also - I never looked around in the preferneces in the Home before and say that that is how you can change the background and color to windows etc. Nice to know!
