Hi,
I have Office installed in Play on Linux and want to open .doc, .docx etc files with Word, PowerPoint and Excel but they don't show up in the Open With Other Application dialog in Nemo.
Does anyone know how I can set these programs to open their respective file types by default?

I'm looking for a solution too. I'm astounded this isn't as easy as running a program. Makes me wonder if Mint is worth it?

right-click on the file, click Properties, click the Open With tab
