Problem with brightness command

Postby Calypso7 on Thu Jan 17, 2013 12:42 pm

I found this thread on permanently adjusting the screen brightness through Termial but I get this message when I add the first line.

Code: Select all
(gedit:7148): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to store changes into `/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel', but failed: Failed to create file '/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel.HKQBRW': No such file or directory

Any suggestions on how I can make this adjustment permanent? There is probably an easy solution to this but being new to Linux, I don't know what to do.

Thanks.
