I am attempting to boot 32-bit Mint 14 'Nadia' (MATE) from a live usb which I created using LiLi through my Windows Vista. The first time I booted from the usb it worked perfectly fine, but now I am getting an error message. It says: "Could not start the X server due to some internal error." It says to check the syslog to diagnose.
I am not sure what the syslog is, but I am also seeing an error message superimposed on this first error message which reads: [ 124.181649] ET2-fs (loop1) : error: ext2_lookup/: deleted inode referenced: 196656.
Have I mistakenly deleted this "inode"? And how do I get my desktop to work again?
Thanks.
