Ubuntu->Linuxmint?

I have ubuntu installed at the moment, but I'm wonder if its possible to download from a few repos in ubuntu to have linuxmint instead.

The short answer is no. Mint is based on Ubuntu and uses the same repos, but was forked from Ubuntu some time ago. The Ubuntu gutsy base is not the same as Mint 4.
