Hi there, I recently upgraded from mint 13 to 14 and wireless connection is taking forever. Wicd shows scanning and obtaining ip but takes forever. I have been in to software manager and there is nothing in terms of additional drivers or proprietary drivers. I went to synaptic clicked on broadcom common package and installed. Still no improvement. From what I could see from ifconfig it seems to spend a lot of the time looking for eth0 connection before going to wlan0. I am completely new to all this so i am a bit confused. Anything you could tell me would be great. But please keep it as simple as poss.
