Hi,
I've been subscribing to LFX for several years, and can't boot from any of their 'live distro' cover-disks.
The problem: I have a mint box pro, and if I boot it with any magazine's 'live distro' cover-disk in an external drive , I get the select a live distro menu from the disk as expected, ( so USB ports are enabled, and boot from USB too) BUT... at that point in the sequence my USB keyboard is disabled and so my tab key, enter key do not work!
I've found on occasion in the past with other older hardware that I had to plug in a PS2 keyboard if I wanted to interrupt a boot sequence before the USB drivers were active, but since the mint box has no ps2, and the boot from the external USB drive is working I am at a loss.
So, I sit there looking at all these live distros to try but am unable to select or try one! ;-(
All I can do at that point is hit the power switch to shut down, unplug the drive then boot again as normal.
I bought the mint box pro in the fall of last year, it has been running mint 13 cinnemon 64 bit happily (pre-installed) , I was hoping to see how Mint 14 Cinnemon 64 bit looked. Which is the feature on Linux Format magazine's February issue, # 167. I have also tried booting with cover disks from Linux Pro Magazine, same problem, no keyboard active to continue once the menu comes up.
Have you any advice as to why/how to enable my keyboard before the cover disk splash screen comes up?
Thanks
