Problems with repositories on doing updates

Hi all,

This has been an ongoing problem for me - since December, I believe. Whenever I click on the "recommended updates" button, it shows me what is being checked, but ultimately it shows me the same repositories keep failing, over and over again. What's going wrong?

I've made screen shots - do these help?

You can ignore translation package index files not being found.

Perhaps the text in Update Manager could be more clear; if you run "apt update" from the command line to do the same action, it shows you it is ignoring these translation package index files For example, the output for the top line in your screenshot when doing "apt update" is:

I have being trying to solve this problem I think since november but nothing on this forum or the web have helped me on solving this issue.
