Is there a way to move the start/task bar on Linux Mint 14 to the top of the screen? My searches on YouTube and Google aren't what I'm looking for.

which mint do you have installed ? Cinnamon, mate ?
both have option if you right click on task bar and choose "panel settings" or "properties" to move bar to top or bottom of screen.
