Problem solved. It was a Samba-configurationissue.
Hi,
Finally, after many years of WIndows, I've installed Mint. I'm in a wired network. When I click 'network' it shows 'windows network'. That's correct, that's where my files are - so I need to go there.
I'm clicking 'windows network'. Next nothing... the window disappears, the desktop items dissappear.
In settings, I can see my Mint-computer has an IP in the correct range. The printer in my network has been found, one of the NAS-drives as well.
But the computer with my files seems unavailable.
- Why is the window vanishing when I click 'windows network', I'd like to understand what could be going wrong
- What can I do to solve this?
I hope my problem is cleare enough...
Thanks
Hans
