Can Windows be repaired from Linux?

Postby android on Wed Feb 13, 2013 9:49 pm

I'm dual booting Windows 8 and Linux Mint 14.1, but Windows is now unable to boot after selecting via GRUB menu. Windows responds with this error: "The application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors. File: \WINDOWS\system32\winload.exe" http://dl.dropbox.com/u/31315201/IMG_20130213_164931.jpg. I know this error can be fixed with a Windows 8 repair/installation dvd or usb, but I don't have any dvds and the only usb I have is 2gb being insufficient for Windows 8.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
