Hi everyone,
I haven't been on this forum for quite a long time but have been waiting for the latest Mint KDE version and would lke to dual boot with Win 7. My main question here is, has anyone successfully set up a dual boot with either Kaspersky Internet Security or Norton Internet Security installed on their windows system?, I ask because I understand that some internet security software installs stuff deep into the boot sector, which might cause probs for a dual boot (probs for grub or whatever).
If I am correct about this then I guess the only option would be manually placing the linux boot partition elsewhere, away from the MBR thus leaving the windows bootloader as the main one.
I dont have UEFI, just normal EFI bios, so don't have to worry about the secure boot stuff.
Any pointers greatly appreciated.
