Grub Optimizer - No ultimately trusted keys found

Postby Venom on Fri Mar 22, 2013 12:55 pm

I've installed Mint 14 Cinnamon edition (32bit) successfully alongside Win 7 Ultimate (64bit) yesterday and it all went well. I didn't like the default settings of the Grub boot loader so I tried installing it through the Terminal using instructions from here - http://www.noobslab.com/2012/11/install ... buntu.html

It was OK until it showed me that it tried to load some untrusted keys. I dunno what to do - it is obviously not installed properly because it doesn't show in the Menu.

I would necessarily use this, but PPA (personal developer (package) ) applications may be problematic within Mint, since it is not an 100% Ubuntu distribution..

With PPAs Ubuntu users can have access to bleeding-edge software. Adding too many PPAs may result in an unstable system, but one or two usually doesn’t hurt anything

The untrusted keys (I assume the PPA developer signed their software) is likely the PPA developer missing or mistake..

Mint forums, search for grub customizer..

I tried apt install grub-customizer (from the last link you provided) but the Terminal than hangs on ldconfig deferred processing now taking place

EDIT:
I've managed to successfully install Y PPA Manager and will try installing Grub Optimizer using that.
