Bottom Panel Icons?

Post by gael33 »

Is it possible to increase the size of the icons along the bottom panel on the Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon 64 bit desktop?
If it is, please tell me how.

thanks,

You can try and increase the panel width in panel settings I believe makes the icons larger.

Thanks for your reply. However, it appears that the icons cannot be manipulated as the theme dictates the icons size. All of the themes are fairly small which is unfortunate for me as I have visual difficulties. I may have to go back to the "MATE" version as that was possible to adjust the icon size.

Perhaps there is still a way?

[Solved] Re: Bottom Panel Icons?

Okay, after much thought and deliberation, I opened up the "Panel Settings and Panel Edit Mode" and proceeded to tick both boxes, namely, 1. "Use customized panel size (otherwise defined by theme). 2. "Allow Cinnamon to scale panel text and icons according to the panel height". I then increased the pixel sizes in both boxes to 40 pixels.
My desktop is now complete :)
