Recovery console is useless - Nadia

Postby FrogDemon on Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:38 pm

I am having an issue with the recovery console. I load it up and try to get networking running. But it freezes on the cleaning part. I let it run for over an hour and it's still locked on cleaning. ctrl+alt-delete does nothing. I have to hold the power button in to shut system down.

I then reload up and access the recovery again, click clean and same thing occurs. System is up to date. Desktop will load. Is there a way to clean through terminal when in desktop, so I when i load recovery it won't hang?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

So I upgraded the kernel to Linux 3.5.0-27-generic (i686) and the recovery console for that kernel works fine. The other is still useless.
