Skype ending support for linux?

Hi i got a question i figured id ask it here since i know there has to be people who know the answer better. I heard by ear that since MS owns skype now that they were gonna end skype support for linux. Is that true or just a rumor?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

They've owned it for a while and have continued linux development.
The Windows version will take priority, of course, but I haven't heard anything about them axing linux support.
