Edit / Disable File/Open from applications

Postby linux_newbie_2013 on Thu Apr 25, 2013 6:17 am

Hi
I HOPE to be able to limit locale users to only access MS AD network shares ONLY (i.e no local) from applications such as libreoffice, gimp etc in a business enviroment where anyone can logon to a pool machine.

I have edited /etc/xdg/user-dirs.defaults and .gtk-bookmarks to limit local directories, but still under File / Open in any applications they can see under Places (Search, Recently Used,Home,Wastebasket and File System!) where do i find these default settings to try to remove them!
many thanks
