Themes and the Mint Menu

Postby Bradtek on Sun Jun 15, 2008 11:38 pm

I have been able to install themes from gnome-look.org just as easy as in Ubuntu,
which of course should come as no surprise.

But the Mint Menu stays the same

Changing the Background to Black (to match the theme) doesn't
help as the menu text is black and dont know where to change it

So my question is how do I get the theme applied to the Mint Menu like it does in the Gnome Menu
or alternatively how do I change the Menu text to a lighter color so I can have a Black menu ?

Edit:
BTW Theme is Slickness from

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I found this
mintmenu not using the system theme until i unticked the 'use custom colors' box

I know it is a bit reluctant to use a new theme

Would Gnome Color Chooser help? Bit of a long shot...but you never know...its in the Ubuntu Hardy reps and one can google for the .deb...even if its not good for the menu, its still pretty useful for the customisation freaks, I should know, I am one.
