Add custom resolution to resolution list ( 1280x960 ) ?

Postby .nox on Sun Jun 22, 2008 5:49 pm

Hi again guys,

How do I add a resolution mode if it is not available via the "Screen resolution" application ? I want to set my resolution at 1280x900 but I only have 1440x900 or 1280x800 ...nothing in between.

Regards

You'll need to edit xorg.conf, though that was a weird resolution. Sure you are not after 1280x800? And it seems like the xorg.conf has changed in Elyssa, can you post yours? Use this in a terminal:
Code: Select all
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf

and post the output here.
(and to the admins, can you implement tab completion in the forums? I go for it the second I start typing /e :) )
