Wireless WPA

I guess this is not a new topic since I posted it before but I can not access it while logged in to update it or renew my request for help so I am posting another request for help.

This must be a bug in Linux Mint because it only happens in Mint.

Every time I turn off my computer the WAP Personal code that I insert into the Network Settings gets changed. This causes me to have to reinsert it before my network will work.

Someone suggested I try what was posted "by lavs23 on Mon Jun 18, 2007 10:02 pm
Here's what I've done on my laptop to auto-login the keyrings." This suggestion will not work for me because it requires the WAP code to be the same as my login code which will not work for other users that use the same wireless WAP code but have different login codes. In any event that is just a work around and the problem needs to be fixed.

It kind of sounds like it but I don't know where the keyring is for me to try deleting it to see if it is the problem.

I deleted the keyring. According to the info from the Ubuntu forum it says "you'll have to re-enter the password into the keyring and then after you put in the wpa/wpa* key it'll ask you for a keyring password." It did not ask me for a password after putting in the wpa key and never has.

I unlock the Network settings so I can enter the wpa key, Then I select wireless networks and properties then add my information including the wpa key. Click ok and then close the Network Settings box with the close button.
