I have read that you should use scim-bridge to solve this
For Elyssa

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install scim-bridge-agent scim-bridge-client-gtk scim-bridge-client-qt scim-bridge-client-qt4
Then do

Code: Select all

im-switch -z all_ALL -s scim-bridge
which is done as user or as root if you want it to be system wide
