I read somewhere recently that there is a third option now for installing Linux compatibly with Windows XP. My question is, does this third way apply to Elyssa? I know you can run it from a Live CD or do a dual boot installation. I've hear that Linux can now be installed so that it run within Windows, without an emulator. Is this possible? How would it be done? Is it advisable? Thank you.

There is a guide for unetbootin in the forums, I can look it up, if you want to, but this is more or less a dual boot setup, without burning the CD. You are probably thinking about Wubi, which installs Linux as an application in Windows (more or less). Mint is not currently supported by Wubi, and I don't think there is a plan for it.
