Can't get powertweak to open

Postby jacatone on Thu Jul 24, 2008 1:43 am

I'm running LM4 Main. I used Synaptic to install powertweak, lspowertweak and powertweakd but none of these appear in the menu or when I Ctrl/F2 them. Anyone know why? What is the Thanks.

Powertweak and powertweakd are backends. They are the things that run under the GUI. Lspwertweak is the graphical frontend to powertweak(d). Sometimes the software developers don't include the scripts to make the menu entries when you install something. You will have to start it with a terminal. I think you have to be root to use it, so become root
Code: Select all
su
and then enter your root password. Then try
Code: Select all
lspowertweak
If that works, then you can create a menu entry for it.
